It’s all gone a little quiet on the Johnny Depp / Amber Heard front these past few days, but that’s certainly not the case when it comes to Heard’s friend iO Tillett Wright (pictured above – not a typo, her actual spelling).
She used Twitter to lay out a few things, most of which centred around her anger at the ‘victim blaming’ she believes is rife in this case.
The media have constantly called into question claims that Heard suffered abuse at the hands of Depp, and Wright finally snapped.
Here’s a screenshot of the tweets in question from her account:
Some more on the matter frome Eonline:
In Heard’s declaration, which was obtained by E! News, the actress noted that she called Wright during one of the alleged altercations, saying Depp “demanded we call our friend iO Tillet Wright to prove his paranoid and irrational accusations about some delusional idea he was having,” according to the court documents.
Heard said she talked to iO through the speaker phone, but Depp “ripped the cell phone from my hand and began screaming profanities and insults at iO. I heard iO yell at me to get out of the house. Johnny then grabbed the cell phone, wound up his [sic] arm like a baseball pitcher and threw the cell phone at me striking my cheek and eye with great force.”
Heard yelled to iO to call 911. “Johnny continued screaming at me, pulling my hair, striking me and violently grabbing my face,” she stated…
While Johnny has not directly addressed the accusations made by Amber, his rep released a statement shortly after the couple filed for divorce.
“Given the brevity of this marriage and the most recent and tragic loss of his mother, Johnny will not respond to any of the salacious false stories, gossip, misinformation and lies about his personal life,” Johnny’s rep told E! News. “Hopefully the dissolution of this short marriage will be resolved quickly.”
Johnny is currently touring with his band The Hollywood Vampires, a supergroup comprising Alice Cooper and Joe Perry of Aeorsmith fame. He seems in decent spirits in this video from Friday:
