On Saturday, “the most anticipated event of the year” was held at Kirstenbosch Gardens. However, it didn’t quite live up to expectations.

At R300 a ticket, people were poorly fed, had to buy their own champagne and sat around wondering what was going on. Here’s what they expected:

Feeling like a Lord and Lady is the last thing anyone felt. Rather, both the event’s and host’s Facebook pages were littered with angry complaints from attendees demanding their money back.

Yes been to Table Bay& mount Nelson. .and they both serve an excellent high tea..but this was all hype …3 waiters to serve 300+ people…cold cake. .no tea refill..had to fetch food if u were lucky to get at all ..3 savouries and 3 cakes does a high tea make…no goodie bags as promised either..going to computicket to demand refund today.
