Yeah that’s Bill Clinton and not Bill Cosby, which would not have attracted anywhere near as much attention.
The Trumpster sat down for a full hour-long interview with Fox News recently, and in amongst his many shocking statements was one that the Guardian are calling ‘likely the most aggressive attack on a candidate’s spouse in US political history’.
Donald had worked himself into a bit of a tizz after being questioned on his troubled history with women, which is well documented, so as per usual he resorted to name calling:
“Are they going to interview Juanita Broaddrick?” [interviewer] Hannity asked Trump, in apparent defense of the candidate. “Are they going to interview Paula Jones? Are they going to interview Kathleen Willey? In one case, it’s about exposure. In another case, it’s about groping and fondling and touching against a woman’s will.”
“And rape,” Trump responded.
“And rape,” Hannity followed up.
“And big settlements, massive settlements … and lots of other things,” Trump continued. “And impeachment for lying, and losing your law license. You know, he lost his law license, OK? He couldn’t practice law. And you don’t read about this on Clinton.”
We should clarify just who Juanita Broaddrick is:
[She is the] former nursing home administrator who alleged in 1999 that Clinton raped her in an Arkansas hotel room during his first gubernatorial campaign in 1978.
She again sprung to national attention when she sent this tweet out back in January:
Trump’s comments follow on from stingers he made last month:
[He said] that “she’s married to a man who was the worst abuser of women in the history of politics. She’s married to a man who hurt many women.”
“Nobody, perhaps in the history of politics, was worse to women or abused women more than Bill Clinton,” Trump said at the time. “And she’s taking negative ads on me.”
He also sent this out a while ago:
The presidential race turned nasty a very, very long time ago and it looks like it’s only set to get worse. Hillary better watch out though, Trump’s far more practised in the art of name-calling and skulduggery.
