Back in the day, before Julius Malema found the limelight and was the leader of the Congress of South African Students (Cosas), he was slim. Like, 80kg slim.
After rumours circulated of Malema’s shrinking girth, TMG Digital spoke to EFF spokesperson Mbuyiseni Ndlozi. He confirmed that their leader has made a personal choice to join a gym “so he can be in rude health”:
He is on a gym and diet programme to look good and be in good shape.
Ndlozi then said that details would be shared at a later stage.
But now, although he has had a few issues with his recommended diets, Tim Noakes is attempting to gain a new client. The world-infamous sports scientist says his dietary advice will obviously work.
Noakes said that Malema is suffering with weight issues because is insulin resistant, eats a high carbohydrates diet and drinks too many sweetened beverages. He continues:
To lose weight successfully he needs to do a few things: Limit his carbohydrate intake to less than 25 grams per day; eat no sugar whatsoever and drink no sweetened beverages; eat no processed foods; hire a chef to cook foods only from our book Real Meal Revolution including only those foods on the Green List; eat a maximum of 2 meals a day; and practice intermittent fasting.
Because only recipes from his book will work.
If not, the political leader will develop two types of diabetes and related diseases including heart disease, cancer and dementia.
Although this (risk) will only happen after he is 50 or so. Following this dietary advice will allow Mr Malema to be the 80kg hunk that he was in his matric year and at no risk of developing these diseases of insulin resistance.
Noakes is on a mission to get in on all the politician weight issues, and suggests that all who are overweight should take the same advice.
