Our Top 10 Favourite Early Photographs Of Cape Town

Cape Town is certainly a work in progress, but it isn't often you get a glimpse of what life was like 200 years ago.

If you think Cape Town is easy on the eye these days (and we know you do), then consider what it might have looked like back in the day.

In light of Telegraph readers naming our city their favourite, they’ve done some digging, coming up with photos from the late 19th and early 20th century that show the mountain and the sea in a very different light.
