So you saw that bit about ‘spoiler alert’ in the headline, right? Ain’t nobody got time for mistakenly revealing a detail about Game of Thrones to someone who isn’t up to speed, apparently that’s tantamount to treason.
Luckily I don’t watch or care for the show (gasp), so I can just ramble on here to what I assume will be other people who don’t really care about the show.
Hi, welcome, let’s see what all the fuss is about according to Huffington Post:
Mother’s Day seemed like a perfect day to reveal that Jon Snow‘s mother is in fact Lyanna Stark, but instead HBO gave us the mother of all cliffhangers. After a young Ned Stark survived a run-in with the Kingsguard knights guarding the Tower of Joy during a Bran flashback scene, Ned started ascending the steps to the tower, making us believe the big moment would finally happen. But then, the three-eyed raven was all like, “Th-th-th-th that’s all, folks.” HBO basically pulled a “Walking Dead,” leaving us — and Bran — with the biggest cliffhanger the North has ever seen.
Sounds like riveting stuff, although they did say the episode had one redeeming feature:
The one saving grace of the episode was that Jon Snow announced his watch has ended. Then he walked away like a boss. It’s just too bad there wasn’t an epic explosion behind him or something. Since Snow was dead for a super long time, it seems he can now be released from his Night’s Watch vows. Hopefully, he can finally take his rightful place as King in the North.
I hope that means something to you.
