Kidding.
If you listen to JT’s new track without knowing it’s his latest release, you would think it came off Pharell Williams’ last album that featured that awfully catchy tune ‘Happy’.
Then, when you actually watch the video, you’ll see that Justin Timberlake follows a similar format to ‘Happy’, but instead of featuring a variety of people in the US singing along, it focuses on celebrities enjoying his song.
That must mean it has to be cool, right?
Prince of Pop, no doubt, I kinda miss the ‘FutureSex/LoveSounds’ vibe.
Here’s his new song, ‘Can’t Stop the Feeling’:
It is the singer’s first solo track in three years and, although the new song is soaking in sugary pop, don’t be surprised if the album features many a country twang. Long time collaborator Timberland explains why:
We are country. He’s from Tennessee and I’m from Virginia. It’s only right that we try to tap into what we was raised in. We was raised in the country. That’s who we are… We always wanted to do country music.
For me, it won’t be added to my daily playlist, but if it’s your kind of thing, then please enjoy.
Instead, I’mma just have a Justin Timberlake throwback day.
Cry me a river…
