Winter is coming, and, unlike the fictional continents of Westeros and Essos, for South Africans it means increased electricity costs and those awful “scheduled” blackouts. WE thought we’d help you out with defeating those aspects by sharing an infographic with you. Although applied to American households, the infographic lists appliances that use the most amount of electricity,  even when they are switched off at the plug, and ways to stop that all happening.

Sure, our sacrificing of this information may be a little selfish as we aren’t too keen on anymore price hikes, but really, we’re thinking about Mother Nature here. And you should be, too.
