A celebrity death, especially a musician, tends to follow a predictable social media cycle.

First people retweet and post the breaking news, maybe adding some of those crying emoticon things and the word RIP.

Then the heartfelt and poignant drawings start doing the rounds, and all of a sudden everyone shared such a deep connection with the dearly departed.
