Big whoop, Paul McCartney got on stage and performed two Beatles tracks for the first time in 51 years.
“A Hard Day’s Night” was performed, along with 37 other songs, for a sold-out crowd on Wednesday night at the opening of his One on One Tour. It is the first time he performed the song solo.
Taking the stage at the Save Mart Centre in Fresno, Calif. Paul also performed The Beatles’ number one hit “Love Me Do”.
[McCartney briefly belted out the song during his 2002 Super Bowl halftime show performance, but it doesn’t count.]
The original song featured John Lennon on the verses with McCartney singing only the middle-eight section and was credited to the Lennon – McCartney partnership.
To be fair, it must have been awesome to hear it being sung live after all these years.
