You know who is having a torrid 2016 – Jacob Zuma, the tide slowly turning against him as all those past sins come home to roost.

You know who is having a slightly better 2016 – Zayn Malik and Gigi Hadid, officially anointed by US Vogue as ‘fashion’s youngest power couple’.

The 23-year-old former One Direction star has seen his maiden solo single Pillow Talk début at number one on the Billboard Hot 100, beating the previous record of number two held by (you guessed it) One Direction.

Then there’s the fact that he is dating Gigi Hadid, who just happens to be rather easy on the eye. Their shoot for US Vogue, snapped by none other than Mario Testino, is already everywhere on the interweb. Here’s the Telegraph:
