Thursday’s ConCourt ruling would have come as a kick to the guts for embattled president Jacob Zuma, and he is set for another trying day with Parliament sitting from 2PM.
On the agenda is a motion of impeachment, although TimesLive make it clear we shouldn’t hold our breath:
The motion, launched by the Democratic Alliance (DA), is likely to fail in the assembly where the ANC enjoys a comfortable majority of 62 percent of the 400 seats.
To unseat Zuma, the opposition needs two-thirds of the vote, including the support of more than 100 ANC legislators.
At least the screws will be tightened just that little bit more – slowly but surely, this battle being a marathon rather than a race.
