One isn’t given the name of Brown Snake Eagle for nothing – just take a look at how relaxed this bird is whilst considering whether the Mozambique spitting cobra should be its next meal.
This encounter comes from Kruger National Park, home to perhaps the greatest wildlife battle ever captured on film.
That one above kind of peters out, the eagle either losing interest or deciding that the spitting cobra was poised to fight back, but you have to admire some of those animal showdowns that don’t get all the glory on TV shows around the world.
