Committing a crime where you plan to kill a large amount of people by killing yourself can be quite nerve-wracking, it seems. I mean, you could get caught any minute and then the bombs strapped around your middle would go to waste. You know, nerves are a real thing.
And this is just how one brother of the two who detonated a suicide bomb felt prior the attacks on Monday. Authorities found a note on a computer that was dumped in a street trash can just outside the apartment block in which they were residing. Allegedly written by Ibrahim El Bakraoui, 29, the note reads:
Being in a hurry, I don’t know what to do, being searched for everywhere, not being safe. If it drags on it could end up with me in a prison cell next to him.
It is suspected that “him” refers to Salah Abdeslam, the suspected terrorist ringleader who was arrested last week. The computer was found after the taxi driver who picked the three up led police back to place he had picked them up.
Although we are unsure how sure they are of this information, as the investigation continues we hope that more will be cleared up.
