Last week we showed you the pictures that a reader sent in to us of some drama outside 122 Bree Street, the knock shop known as Nauty40.
At the time very little was known about what actually went down, our only information being the email and pictures we received. Now, finally, it has become clear how things played out last week Tuesday.
TimesLive with these details:
City of Cape Town mayoral committee member for safety and security‚ JP Smith‚ said the council vice squad and the Hawks conducted the raid in the city centre.
“They arrested four women for prostitution. While searching the premises‚ a client who was in one of the rooms on the second floor tried to escape by jumping through the window‚” said Smith.
“The man smashed the window frame and fractured his leg upon landing on the ground. He was transported to Groote Schuur Hospital for treatment.
“Fortunately for this man‚ pain and embarrassment are the worst of his woes as current legislation doesn’t provide for a client using the services of a prostitute to be charged unless they are caught in the act. Had he known that‚ I imagine he would not have turned stuntman.”
All that hassle and he just had to ensure he wasn’t caught mid-deed, that’s why it pays to know the laws I guess.
