Fans of gangster-style TV will know Underbelly, the Aussie show that covered the life and times of some of the notorious underworld characters the country has to offer.
Of course they’re all based on actual gangsters, Melbourne especially notorious for a storied history of gangland warfare. Now the recent assassination of prominent Melbourne criminal lawyer and Mafia associate Joe ‘Pino’ Acquaro has revealed that the war is far from over, his connection to the Calabrian community leading to his downfall.
‘Gentleman’ lawyer Acquaro was slain in what has been dubbed a ‘gangland-style killing’, with many fearing that the hit could reopen old wounds and lead to full-blown warfare in the city once more.
If you’re not familiar with the history of the feud then check out the Daily Mail’s extensive account HERE, it’s worth it if you’ve ever wondered just how true to life the TV show really is.
What’s that, you haven’t seen Underbelly? Stop watching Two and a Half Men and Friends reruns and invest some time and money in a decent show for goodness sake.
You can order the first three seasons (the trilogy, some might say) from Amazon HERE, although there’s the little problem of getting it delivered to your door with all that ‘we don’t send to South Africa’ nonsense.
Fear not fans of quality telly, we’ll just point you the way of Postbox Courier. These okes are kind of the bee’s knees, because they’ll handle all of that nonsense and send it your way within 3-5 working days.
No fuss, all your paperwork and hassles sorted – and your goodies are on the way. If you’re confused as to how it works check out those details HERE.
Hell, that’s quicker than most local online retail sites get things to your door.
Happy ganglanding folks.
