The ongoing Zephany Nurse saga has kept many details under wraps as Zephany Nurse does not want to be identified. Although the woman – and her husband – accused of kidnapping Zephany 18 years ago have both had to testify, there has been no direct contact with the media. Now, eNCA has secured an interview with the couple.
Speaking to Annika Larsen, the two speak of a crime that has shattered their life. Although the woman is being accused of physically taking the baby from the sleeping mother’s arms, the accused denies this, and says that she had paid R3 000 to a woman called Sylvia who handed her the baby at a train station. She believed it was a legal adoption.
