Legal highs are taking over in Newcastle as homeless people – and others I am sure – are using substances such as Exodus or Red-X to let go. Mimicking the emotional effects of ecstasy (and more like the physical effects of DMT), the substances are kind of like synthetic cannabis which shouldn’t be consumed, but when they are, render the user unable to move and hallucinate.
Instead, Northumbria police have released footage showing the effects of the drugs on people in the city centre of Newcastle. They just stumble around. The city has now set up a “New Psychoactive Substances” task force set to tackle the problem.
By the way, it will probably kill you.
