It was the competition that brought out the best in you, our lovely readers, so if you aren’t familiar with our Naughty Hipster competition best we let you in on all the fun.
We know Cape Town is blessed with an abundance of hipsters, challenging fashion norms on the daily and bucking trends left, right and centre. I’ll go to Jozi though for one of our real gems, a reader sending in this photo of a man who really does think outside of the box:
So you snap that picture and send it in to us – what do you get out of it? Here’s where the fun bit really kicked in, helping the competition become a viral meme that set tongues wagging.
If you sent in the week’s winning picture you would win a pair of new PUMA kicks, which is nothing to be scoffed at. The catch was that if the hipster in question contacted us within 24 hours of publishing the story, as this chap above did, THEY would win the shoes – ah, this stepped up a notch didn’t it?
You see a little sneakiness in snapping that picture could go a long way, increasing your chance of nabbing those shoes without your Naughty Hipster popping in and claiming it themselves. It was all done in good sportsmanship, the hipsters getting in on the fun and making it one for the ages.
Well now we’ve upped the ante for our Badass Barista competition, and we’re hoping you guys climb on board with as much vigour as you did last time.
THIS IS HOW YOU WIN
Barista Wine have recently come onboard as a 2OV partner and now you stand a chance to win cases of their wine every month.
HOW TO ENTER:
All you have to do is spot a ‘Badass Barista’, take a picture and email it in to henk@2oceansvibemedia.com. We will select a winner each month who will receive two boxes of Barista Wines – one red and one white. BUT THERE IS A CATCH…
Once we publish the picture the barista in question has 24 hours to contact us and prove they are the person in the photo, in which case they will take home the wine.
Entries will close on the 25th of each month and the winning pictre will be put on the site in the days that follow.
All in the name of fun though, right? Get snapping!
