Everyone loves a bargain, I think that generalisation stands up pretty well across the board.
Saving 20% in store, finding a lekker deal online, we’ve all felt that feeling that comes with getting what you want at a cost less than you imagined.
What we don’t often realise is that some of those cheap bargains we pick up actually end up costing us all in the long run, our environmental footprint growing larger by the day and our actions directly affecting people’s day to day lives in some far-flung corner of the world.
2OV’s Abstract Aimee spoke to Tony Budden, a founding partner of Hemporium, as part of her ‘Keeping It Green‘ series. As you can hear these truths can be rather uncomfortable, although during the series Tony and Aimee intend to probe how we can make simple changes to incorporate sustainalbe living into our daily lives.
You can listen to the ‘Keeping It Green‘ series on every second Friday, with the next episode airing on February 26.
