Just before the Nkandla saga continued in the ConCourt in Jozi yesterday, Zuma took a walk about. The place that caught his attention was a taxi rank in Marabadstad, west Pretoria where he went to find out what he should say in his national speech tomorrow. While he was visiting, The Times photographer Sizwe Ndingane captured a series of pictures that demonstrates the President’s stance on the topic of smoking. I wonder if he judges Obama.
As a hawker attempts to light up a cigarette as Zuma moves in to shake hands with a fellow hawker, Zuma’s bodyguards swoop in to remove both the lit cigarette and the offender. And the President doesn’t even break his smiling composure.
Here’s how it goes down:
As Zuma approaches the vendor, the hawker is seen on the left lighting up.

Unimpressed, Zuma’s bodyguard checks this oke out:

With quite a bit of suave, another bodyguard reaches out to remove said cigarette:

Swiftly the man is completely removed from the picture:

It seems smoking is the only thing that Zuma doesn’t have any tolerance for.
