That’s Academy Award nominee Lady Gaga y’all, the red pantsuit wearing singer braced for one heck of a start to 2016.

Super Bowl 50 began with Gaga belting out The Star-Spangled Banner, and most are in agreement that she did a rather decent job of it too.

Seriously guys, does it get more American than around the 2:35 mark when the jets fly overhead?

For a point of comparison here is Whitney Houston’s legendary rendition from the 1991 Super Bowl.
