Areas of the peninsula were covered in smog over the weekend as strong winds carried over smoke from the Houwhoek Pass veld fire.
A devastating event, the fire is still raging and has threatened many homes, and has burnt down three farm structures. The N2 was closed to motorists yesterday.
It has been suggested that an arsonist may be the cause of the fire. Can we have a break now?
