With that in mind Gareth Cliff must have known he was stirring the pot when he sent out an ill-advised tweet regarding Penny Sparrow. You know, the racist imbecile with a penchant for talking utter shite. Here’s the tweet:

As you can imagine the backlash was swift, Twitter tearing into Cliff and forcing him into the old public apology tweet:
Not that the apology turned the tide and everyone forgave Gareth. No, he was in for a rather torrid time of it:
I agree, please can we boycott SA Idols so this utter garbage never graces our screens again? We were scraping the bottom of the talent barrel about three seasons back, now it’s just getting ridiculous. A few more livid Twitter users:

Penny Sparrow – thanks for painting us all with your brush. Now do us a favour and disappear into obscurity, your name alone is causing the blood pressure to rise.
