It’s quite hilarious that too long ago this was a joke. “Haha, if they’re selling us bottled water now, one day they’ll be selling us bottled air!”. Well, the laughing should be over now, because that’s just what they’re doing in China. And the company who is doing it isn’t even Chinese. Imagine that.

A Canadian startup company has begun selling bottled clean air from the Rocky Mountains and has sold out its first batch of 500 canisters. The company, Vitality Air, sources its air from Banff and is currently taking orders for the next shipment of 1 000 bottles.

Our specially designed one piece aluminum bottle allows us to capture and retain the freshness of the contents inside. No CFC’s, no propellants.  Accompanying each of our bottles, we have paired an innovative spray cap,  or a 2 in 1 built in mask for precision delivery allowing for maximum enjoyment of our products.  Our product is good to the last drop – there will be no waste.

Prices ranged from $14 to $46 per bottle, size dependent.

While the smog is indeed an issue – even having hit ‘red alert’ and closing schools – experts believe that filtration, not importation, is the real answer.
