We’ve all put in a decent stint this year, let’s take a moment to give ourselves a pat on the back.
As a reward for said hard work, many businesses were celebrating their end-of-year Christmas party – with the 2OV team taking over Caprice on Friday for a lunch that turned into a dinner that turned into a winner. The big boss man Seth rocked up on his Vespa, of course, although it’s safe to say he left in an Uber.
For some, no names mentioned, it was a rather awkward day in the office as stories filtered out of the woodwork. Suffice to say that smashing some Don Julio to set the wheels in motion was a great way to start the day, washed down with a few Coronas to complete the Mexican vibe.
Of course the food was as top notch as ever, a good mix of burgers and prego rolls being used to line the stomachs. This was certainly a wise movie considering the fact that there was also enough Ketel One Vodka and Tanqueray Gin for a small army, the ladies in fine spirits after our ‘luxury’ Christmas crackers were opened. They were crap – Woolies should invest in better prezzies INSIDE the cracker, rather than the elaborate crackers themselves (at R350 we expect at least one laser – is that too much to ask?).
Soaking up the sun outside came with the added bonus of negotiating some wild deals on sunglasses, although if we’re honest we’ll stick to getting ours from Sunglass Hut. The fact that the price dropped from R250 to R50 in less than a minute made us think this guy might not have the direct supply line to Ray Ban that he was so insistent about.
It’s around this time that things really stepped up a notch, these photos below the beginning of what would eventually lead to some hardcore dance-offs as the sun went down. This is also the point at which we switched to Singleton Whiskey and ice, because we’re classy like that.
As always it was a pleasure, Caprice – you guys know how to look after the 2OV family. We’re more than a little tempted to make our way over to your Chrismukkah! 2015 party – the halls decked with champagne as everyone jols the night away with some of the city’s finest DJs.
You can click on that banner below to find out more about the event but get in early, this one will be a winner.
Thanks for the great year 2OV peeps, now let’s just hang on to the end of this week.
