Isn’t it just the best when you snap the perfect Instagram, chuck in all the right hashtags and people start validating your self worth with all their likes?
The thing is that behind the camera there is an unsung hero, the poor soul who is experiencing carpal tunnel syndrome from having to click ‘capture’ so many times. There may be another reason this video has proven so popular though as Jezebel explains:
The men in the sketch are clearly depicted as emasculated, humiliated, bitter, and bored. And while the video is funny enough (especially if you don’t subscribe to that Insta Lifestyle), the humor [sic] hinges on the fact that it’s novel—men don’t usually play the silent support role. They are more likely to be the prominent artists and the makers, and it’s more often women behind the scenes cheering them on.
Subvert the system and have a decent laugh while you’re at it. And don’t ever, ever take a sip of your coffee before you’ve snapped a picture of just how amazing the foam on top looked.
The Instagram Husband website (HERE) is a real thing too, just by the way.
