So a few weeks ago we started telling you what we would be sipping on each and every Friday, part of our #WorldClassFridays ‘let’s get ready for the weekend’ vibes.
If you were paying close attention you might have noticed we dropped the ball last Friday, although we’re going to pass the buck on this one and blame a little something called The Tanqueray Perfect Ten. We may have engaged in a few too many taste testers, but as a way of apology we’ll let you in on why they went down so well.
Stir 50ml Tanqueray No. TEN gin and 10 ml Vermouth together with ice, then strain into a chilled martini glass and garnish with a twist of grapefruit.
See, that wasn’t so hard right? Now for what we’re thinking about tucking into this week – it’s an Old Fashioned with a Twist so we’ll spell it out for you…
In old-fashioned glass, combine simple syrup and bitters. Fill glass halfway with ice, then stir about a dozen times. Add enough ice to fill glass. Squeeze orange peel over glass to extract oils, add peel to glass, and add whiskey. Stir just until drink is cold and alcoholic bite has softened, about a dozen times. Garnish with cherry, swizzle stick, and straw.
