His buffoonery really does know no bounds, although from time to time Donald still has the ability to surprise.
Take for example the current pickle Trump finds himself in, his claims regarding the day of 9/11 being panned by critics for their blatant falsifications. Trump has claimed two real zingers; first that he saw “thousands and thousands” of people in New Jersey, particularly a “heavy Arab population, celebrating the Twin Towers coming down.
Now those claims have been refuted by many who were in Jersey City that day, sporadic reports of a handful of people about as bad as it gets. A Washington Post story said as much, with journalist Serge Kovaleski calling Trump out. Then that above, described by Gawker as follows:
Donald Trump decided to emphasise his point [disagreeing] by physically imitating Kovaleski, a man who suffers from arthrogryposis (a rare, congenital musculoskeletal disorder that limits the movement of his arms).
Now that’s the stuff leaders are made of. Zinger number two is Trump claiming he could see people jumping to their deaths from his hotel, picked apart by the Telegraph:
“Many people jumped and I witnessed it, I watched that. I have a view — a view in my apartment that was specifically aimed at the World Trade Center,” he told a rally in Columbus, Ohio.
“And I watched those people jump and I watched the second plane hit … I saw the second plane hit the building and I said, ‘Wow that’s unbelievable’.”
Mr Trump’s home in the high-rise Trump Tower, on the corner of Fifth Avenue and 57th Street is close to Central Park and seems an unlikely vantage point from which to have watched the disaster unfolding at the opposite end of Manhattan.
That’s some eyesight to spot those jumpers from 4 miles away. One would almost need a telescope, which is so perverted you could kind of see Trump doing just that.
Stick to the facts please mate, and while you’re at it can we talk about how you’re going to fund that wall to keep Mexicans out?
