Yesterday, two sets of passengers bound for France from the US had to make emergency landings – one in Salt Lake City, Utah and the other in Nova Scotia, Canada – when precautionary measures were placed after two anonymous bomb threats were received.
Both Air France, one took off from Los Angeles International and the other from Dulles International in Washington:
A statement released by authorities stated that inspections were taking place:
Local authorities are carrying out complete inspections of the aircrafts, the passengers and their luggage. An investigation will be led by authorities to determine the cause of the telephone call.
Since the incident, both planes have been rescheduled for departure.
