It was a rather poorly kept secret in the days leading up to Charlie Sheen’s announcement, but yesterday saw the actor appear on the TODAY show with Matt Lauer and give his side of the story.
It’s pretty gruesome to think that Sheen was blackmailed by those close to him, extorted to the amount of close to $10 million. That being said he took ownership of some of his poor decision-making, aware that surrounding himself with unsavoury characters played a large role in the troubles he has experienced over the last four years.
Hopefully this public appearance helps Charlie put some of those demons to bed.
