In the states, Uber drivers come in many forms. Some act as a driver full time, while others do it after or before work to earn that extra bit of cash. Now, in an effort to attract more drivers, Uber is piloting a new feature in the Bay Area, San Fran, which allows drivers to set a route twice daily, connecting them with passengers on the same route.
For example, if you were driving to and from work every day, you could set yourself up as an Uber driver and collect passengers on the way. At the end of every week, you would be paid for your services.
Uber aims to market it worldwide in the near future.
While it may sound similar to Uber’s carpooling service, this feature let’s the driver connect with passengers on the same route rather than the passengers themselves.
