It seems that the residents of Gauteng and Limpopo had their prayers answered yesterday when torrential rains, along side some epic amounts of hail, fell from the heavens. Although there was considerable damage to property throughout the two provinces, the amount of rain provided a relief to the critically low water reserves. It has been announced that water restrictions will remain in place until the dams and reservoirs have reached the appropriate level.
Residents will experience poor pressure until the reservoir is fully recovered. We are currently flushing out air in the system in order to restore water in Oakdene (high-lying area).
Areas of Johannesburg saw massive damage to cars and property, as well as flooding in certain low-lying and roofs collapsed under pressure:

In Limpopo, around 200 houses had their roofs blown off as hail the size of tennis balls destroyed properties:
