Button down the hatches people of Gauteng, weather forecasters have warned about a severe thunderstorm headed your way.
As you can see from that video above (described only as ‘From 33 degrees to 0 in 3 seconds’ on YouTube) the Hoedspruit and Burgersfort areas of Limpopo were hit on Sunday, massive hailstones littering the ground in the midst of hectic winds. This from TimesLive:
“Watch out for large hail & damaging winds. Severe storm warning in effect across Gauteng from noon to 11pm on Monday‚” the Gauteng weather office cautioned.
@tweathersa also asked the public to take all necessary precautions. These include parking undercover and trying not to be on the road during the expected downpours.
Perhaps this would be the night to park your cars inside and get ready for a beast – we expect great videos tomorrow if that’s the case.
