Taking a screenshot of a chance encounter on the web is like gold these days. After the SABC tweeted a random apology on Sunday for a tweet containing a profanity, one follower needed to know what the state broadcaster was on about:
You see, the SABC had to do damage control after it tweeted a “what the fuck” tweet, commenting on Jacob Zuma’s VIP jet. Luckily, some quick-on-their-toes peeps had snapped the opportune moment and retweeted it for South Africa’s pleasure:
Oh, Patta.
Some random person at the SABC had retweeted a News24 tweet about the R4bn to be spent on a new VIP jet for President Jacob Zuma with arrows pointing towards the story and the words “WHAT.THE.FUCK”. Although the tweet was later removed and the SABC sent out an apology saying it was done by someone “without authority to be on our account”.
What a daredevil.
