When you are widely regarded as one of the world’s most beautiful women it pays to look after your health, especially with one of your biggest gigs just around the corner.

27-year-old Candice Swanepeol posted this picture to her Instagram account yesterday, clearly suffering from a bout of the flu:

As the Daily Mail explains the timing isn’t ideal for the South African supermodel:

…[she] confirmed that she was feeling a bit under the weather as she captioned the snap: ‘Possibly the worst time ever to get flu. #doctordoctor.’

The timing is definitely not preferred as the highly-anticipated [Victoria’s Secret] runway show featuring the likes of Lily Aldridge, Alessandra Ambrosio, Shanina Shaik and Joan Smalls is set to be recorded on Tuesday.

We can only hope she recovers as this is what fans were treated to during last year’s show:
