Yep, it’s that time of the year again when men can proudly show off the fluff above their top lip and not get stick for it. Oh look you grew some whiskers, well it’s for a good cause so we’ll keep the jokes to a minimum.
The thing is the Movember movement really is for a good cause, one we should all get behind and have a bit of fun along the way. Come Mo-Bros and Mo-Sistas, here’s your chance to feed your face and look after those nether bits all at the same time.
Café Caprice are running their ‘Macho Nacho Movember Burger and Black Label’ special for the entire month and it’s proving a winner.
What we have is a 100% beef patty topped with fresh tomato salsa, guacamole, smooth cottage cheese, jalapeño peppers and crunchy nacho chips, which is similar to their much-loved nachos, only meatier. This treat comes served with skinny fries and a 330ml Black Label bottle. All that goodness will set you back R120, R20 of which goes straight to the Movember Foundation.
If you enjoy a good bowls session (always a good excuse to day drink) then hop on board with their Movember Bowls tournament, taking place on Saturday 28 November at the Glen Country Club in Clifton. The fun will start at 11AM and run through until 4PM, giving you plenty of time to hone your technique.
Grab a few mates and get a team together, entry for three players coming at R450 of which EVERY LAST CENT will head to the Movember Foundation.
There will be complimentary food and drinks provided by Café Caprice to keep the joints well-oiled and it promises to be a lekker day out in the sun.
Go on, let’s hop on board the Movember train and wear a smile along the way.
