You may remember a while ago we had ourselves a little chat about men’s wallets and how they have become clunkier over time. We laid down the gauntlet and implored you to stop lugging around those card-laden wallets, and whilst we’ll never know if we were successful at least we introduced you to the folks over at Freedom of Movement.
For those unfamiliar with FOM they are proudly South African lifestyle brand, representing a collection of ideas formulated to design and manufacture conventional and unconventional leather goods, clothing and accessories. All of their products are handcrafted by their exceptional artisans and are made from the finest raw materials, all sourced from South Africa tanneries and textile manufactures.
Now these funky young creatives have been so well received in their home town of Stellenbosch that they are now opening a second retail outlet in the area. The outlet, their third nationwide alongside the Pretoria Store on 13th Street in Menlopark, can be found at 147B Dorp Street in Stellies.
The new outlet comes complete with a fresh, clean and unconventional design and all of the products advertised on their website are available in store. Don’t be shy – head on in and have a snoop around, sling a bag over your shoulder and test it out for size, the staff are helpful and full of sage fashion advice.
The store is open Mon – Fri between 09:00 and 17:00, plus Saturdays from 09:00 until 14:00 so make a moment to pop by and see the designs in person. Two of our favourites below…
I don’t know about you but there’s something about that tanned leather hide that just makes me want to sling one over my shoulder and take on the world.
