There’s a lot more to this than just a casual South African “Youtube guy” getting the chance to interview an international popstar. If you stalk through Anton Taylor’s Facebook, you’ll get A LOT of posts on the ups and downs of South African rugby, on how difficult it is to leave behind the Bishops bois and, well, recently, a slew of Carly Rae Jepson posts over the years. But then, things kinda got real when he heard that she was to perform in Cape Town in November:
Doing his Masters in Creative Writing, it’s no surprise that Anton has written such extensive (Facebook-wise) essays on Carly and her impending arrival. But what it did do was spark off the cats over at Popsicle to go on a mission to get him to meet her. That’s the first part of the vid – and there’s more on the ‘book.
Obviously, Anton kept everyone in the loop about his anticipation of him being in Carly’s presence. It’s actually really cute, he even asked for advice:

Anton’s inability to suppress his inner-little-girl fanatics is quite adorable – especially his uncontrollable giggles. He really really really really really really likes her!
