Well this story has a happier ending than that of the three-year-old toddler found washed ashore in Turkey back in September, and for that we can all be relieved.
The above video may still make for difficult viewing so proceed with a little caution, the moment some Turkish fishermen saved an infant refugee off the coastal town of Aydin captured on camera. It’s not all good news though as the Mirror reports:
Local news reports state two boats capsized in separate incidents in the Aegean Sea on boats heading to Greece from Turkey on Wednesday.
Two refugees are reported to have died and 31 are still unaccounted for following the incidents.
A total of 15 people were rescued from the sea from one of the boats.
When one watches videos like these it is a sombre reminder of the horrors these refugees must leave behind if these are the risks they will take in search of a better life.
