Eish, it seems that Saudi’s royalty can’t keep themselves out of the news – and the reasons aren’t good either. This time around, there are no deaths or souped-up cars drag racing around London, but rather it’s a little more damning. Saudi prince, Abdel Mohsen Bin Walid Bin Abdulaziz has been busted for attempting to smuggle around two tons of a drug popular with Syrian rebels in his private jet.
Stuffed into 40 suitcases, five men have been detained at Rafik Hariri International Airport, Beirut, Lebanon after security found about two tons of Captagon pills and some cocaine.
Captagon is the drug of choice for front-line fighters on both sides in the Syrian war, producing a heightened state of alertness and is popular on both sides of the war. The producing and illegal exporting of the drug seems to be a side-effect of the war in Syria as the country’s role as an exporter of illegal drugs is growing.
