Reeva’s father is requesting to meet Oscar in an effort to seek closure after the Paralympic athlete shot and killed her. This was revealed in an interview aired on Sunday night on Mnet. Barry Steenkamp went on to say

I think I will get more closure one day if I get the chance to speak to Oscar myself. Most probably I wouldn’t have to say anything. I will just have to look at him… but that is what I would like to do one day.

Although Oscar’s parole conditions have net been publicly revealed, it is reported that they compel him to meet with Reeva’s parents if they wish.

How could I feel sorry for him? I just thought to myself — man, you brought this on yourself and you have been very lucky with the sentence. Once that has all come to an end it will give us time to settle down. It will give a lot of us closure, whether it is good or bad.

So, it seems that Oscar would have to meet with Reeva’s parents if the day ever came, but all we can ask is, could we have it televised?
