When you’re about to take to the air you probably don’t want the wheel of your plane collapsing, it’s not what you would call ideal.
That’s what is being reported to have happened after a plane came to a standstill at OR Tambo International Airport. Here’s News24:
An anonymous caller told News24 that it was a British Airways Boeing 737 and its main wheel had collapsed.
Acsa spokesperson Colin Naidoo told News24 the aircraft was causing a slight delay of about 15 minutes.
“OR Tambo is currently using an alternative runway to ensure flights are able to leave the airport. For safety and security reasons we will have to close that runway [where the aircraft is].”

I suppose it could have been worse and the wing could have fallen off – either way you’d be hard pressed to get me on that plane.
