Everything You Need To Know About Instagram’s New App, ‘Boomerang’ [Video]

Instagram just keeps levelling up and this time it’s created a stand-alone app that allows you to create looping gifs. Rolled out yesterday, the app combines photos shot within the app into one-second videos that loop-di-loop. You know what I’m saying. The app is called Boomerang – how apt – and doesn’t require the user to actually have Instagram.
Capture a friend jumping off a diving board, defying physics as she flies back and forth through the air. Transform an ordinary selfie with your friends into a funny video. Get that exact moment your friend blows out his birthday candles, then watch them come back to life again and again.
The third stand-alone app Instagram has released, Boomerang follows from Layout – which allows you to make photo collages and Hyperlapse which makes the coolest timelapse videos.
