And that’s just registration fees.
In case you didn’t know, students organised a protest over the proposed 10.5% increase due to a decrease in government subsidies to 5% which was announced last week. The majority of students feel that fees are a mere symbol of bigger trouble in universities.
But even if you’re able to pay your MIP (Minimum initial payment, which, at some universities, increases if you’re staying in residential accommodation), you will not be able to graduate until you have paid the full amount. So what’s the point? Shall we just keep the majority of our country uneducated and keep on living in this pretty average society?
