We like to run the odd competition on this here site, give you guys the chance to win something for nothing and ride off into the sunset victorious. One of our more popular competitions proved to be the Corner Bakery photo competition, the allure of winning a R1 000 cash for snapping a picture proving strong.
Well good news for fans of winning stuff because the competition is back and better than ever, although we’ve tweaked the rules ever so slightly. What you’re looking to do now is head to a Corner Bakery and take a picture of an interesting character, someone who might stand out from the crowd. It helps if you don’t think they’ll be a reader of 2OV, that way you might fly under the radar.
Some pictures are just just ‘Two Good not to Share’, and if you’re confused about that spelling then check this cracker of a deal out…
What you’re going to do is email that ‘Two Good not to Share’ picture to editor@2oceansvibe.com with the subject line #twogoodnottoshare, with the best entry for the month featured on the site. You’re welcome to tweet with the #2goodnot2share hashtag as well, but only entries received via email will be considered for the prize. And then, the waiting game begins…Judging from our previous entries, you have a one in five chance of nabbing the victory.
That’s the genius of our Corner Bakery competition. The person that takes the chosen pic of a #2goodnot2share character (someone you might look at twice) spotted that month at a Corner Bakery outlet wins R1 000, UNLESS the person in the pic contacts us at editor@2oceansvibe.com within 24 hours. And it’s not just at Engen Gardens – it’s anywhere in the COUNTRY!
THIS IS HOW THE COMPETITION WORKS, STEP BY STEP SO EVERYONE CAN GET INVOLVED.
Firstly, you know what Corner Bakery is, right? It’s only the biggest and most yummy chain of bakeries in Engen QuickShops across South Africa. And they don’t only make pies, they also absolutely nail burgers, donuts, muffins, other pastries and the Equatorial Coffee is to die for. Anyone who has visited the Engen Garage in Gardens, Cape Town, will know ALL about it.
So, to win the R1 000, do the following.
Find a Corner Bakery at an Engen QuickShop near you (there are tons all over the country) – check out their store locator map here.
Find someone spicy ordering or eating. This might take a few minutes so it would be best for you to go in the morning for a coffee fix or near lunch to smash a pie while you wait. We’ve posted some deals below to help your planning.
Take a picture of that spicy someone at the Corner Bakery and email it to editor@2oceansvibe.com with the subject line #2goodnot2share.
Every month we will publish the best picture received from you, our beautiful readers.
If the person in the pic doesn’t contact us within 24 hours, then you get R1 000 cash
If they DO get in touch with us with proof that they are the person in the pic then THEY get the money and you get sweet nothing.
Imagine that – a competition that requires you to act like a private eye, eat pies, drink coffee and win cash. Surely it doesn’t get better than that?
This may well be the best competition in the world. Ever.
Good luck out there, gang!
