After finishing his last putt, USA President Barack Obama drove his golf cart over the green to say ‘Hello’ to a nearby wedding party. But the bride and groom weren’t there to receive him.

Instead, the bride, Stephanie Mirkin was up in her second room suit and saw the POTUS from the window and pressed herself up against the glass to get a better look. When she saw him start to shake hands with the her bridal party, she fled the hotel to shake hands – and get some snaps – with the Prez.

Before the wedding, event photographers Jeff and Erin Youngren joked that the venue was near Rancho Valencia, the resort Obama was staying at during his trip to the San Diego area. If only the bride and groom had picked that venue for their nuptials, the photographers mused during the car ride over.

It’s not every day that that happens.
