Oh Shia, when you’re trying to lay low and stay out of the public eye being arrested for public intoxication and jaywalking is not exactly ideal.
LaBeouf was arrested in Texas last Friday night and it appears he was in the midst of a good old-fashioned bender. Gawker reports:
The 29-year-old allegedly jay-walked past police officers, who noticed that his “speech was slurred and thick-tongued and his eyes were glassy and dilated”…
LaBeouf let loose a tirade of bizarre accusations to an officer identified as Sgt. Jelesijevic. First, he alleged that the Los Angeles Police Department had killed a friend of his. Next, while “staring intently”…he became increasingly confrontational, aggravated, profane and verbally aggressive with Sgt. Jelesijevic throughout the stop, calling him a ‘silly man’ three times.
A silly man, looks like he maintained some form of decorum then. It is also alleged that Shia claimed he was a member of the National Guard and told the arresting officer “do whatever the f—k you gotta do!”
So what does every mysterious celebrity do after an incident such as this? Send out some oddball tweets of course…
I don’t think there are many amongst us who can claim complete innocence when it comes to public intoxication, so I will save the preaching for another time.
Word to the wise though Shia, incidents like these only serve to further poke the publicity monster.
