Bow before him mere prawn minions, Peter Sagan is your master and he has the wheels to prove it.
Last week Sagan clinched the elite men’s road race at the UCI Road World Championships in Richmond, Virginia. Now, in what is a clear indication of his position atop the cycling world, he is showing off his $11 000 (R150 000) prawnmobile and funky new kit to go with it. BusinessInsider is so awestruck they describe the ensemble as follows:
The world champ is looking overjoyed in his fresh stripes, and his colorful Specialized S-Works Tarmac is getting plenty of oohs and ahhs.
“I really like this bike,” Sagan said. “I am really satisfied to able to ride it next year together with the rainbow jersey. I’ll have a lot of responsibilities, but I am ready for the challenge.”
As world champ, Sagan will wear his rainbow kit every time he toes the line at a mass-start road race for the next year.
I mean folks, god this man is gorgeous. Look at those luscious locks, cascading down like a waterfall navigating through rocky terrain. They’re almost Samson-like in their magnificence, although Samson only had to battle a lion whereas Sagan must battle a collection of the world’s most adept prawns.
Then there’s that tightly-squeezed groin, what wonders lie beneath that pearly white padding?
Ron Jones, lead road designer at Specialized, was also caught up in the hype when describing the bike’s design:
“I didn’t want to be creatively limited by adhering rigidly to the traditional rainbow stripes, so avoiding them was a definite design choice for me. I choose a black and rainbow base over a more traditional white, and my goal was for this to be disruptive — kind of like Sagan’s personality and style is,” Jones said.
So edgy you guys, no one puts Sagan in a box, no one.
Ride like the wind prawn king and leave a legacy most mere mortals can only aspire to.
