So if this past weekend’s rugby watching has taught us anything it’s that there’s still fight in our Boks and it’s very, very fun to laugh at England.
We also saw Georgia duke it out admirably against the might of the All Blacks and Japan wallop the Samoans in what is another indicator of their progress under Stormers-bound Eddie Jones.
All this means that those so-called minnows have come a long way and there’s no such thing as a free ride in this tournament, making each and every game a worthwhile watch. And where, might we ask, are you watching those games? You do know about what’s going down at The President Hotel, don’t you?
For the less informed let’s start with the basics, the Senate Bar screening each and every game live and on their HD big screen. On game day you can also chow on their Burger and Beer Special for just R75, a 500ml Castle Light draught and a burger (with bunless option) the perfect way to enjoy the action.
Then we should mention their Happy Hour specials where, between 5pm and 7pm every day, it’s the classic ‘buy one get one free’ deal on selected drinks. If you happen to be heading over in a group of 10 or more then be sure to make a booking and the President Hotel will organise a pick-up and drop-off point (within CBD and the Atlantic Seaboard) so you can arrive in style and get home safely.
Of course the vibe promises to be unreal for the World Cup final on October 31st so book your table early to avoid disappointment (unless you’re an English fan of course).
Finally, and this is a goody considering the hiding we hope to give the Yanks, if you are watching a Bok game at the hotel there are free shooters for every try we score so make sure you go thirsty.
I suggest you double up and punish yourself with two for each USA try, you may as well go all in this Wednesday.
Be sure to check out The President Hotel’s Facebook page and website for information on upcoming specials, promos and prizes.
